It’s that time of year! The days are warming up, the sun is shining a bit brighter, and we are emerging from our wintery cocoon. Many of us will spend time cleaning our homes, which undoubtedly need tidying. However there are additional ways we can clean up our lives and prepare ourselves for the new growth Spring has to offer.

Here are ten more ways you can spring clean your life!

  • Declutter your personal spaces: Clutter can build quickly and the energy it harbors can have a negative impact on our well-being. Take a look at those spaces that require some attention. It might be your purse, the diaper bag, your makeup collection, underneath the bathroom sink, or even the center console of your car.
  • Evaluate your habits: By now, that new year's excitement might have worn off, but don’t worry! Now is the perfect time to check in with ourselves. What’s been working? What hasn’t? Re-evaluate and re-align yourself with your goals!
  • Take a look at your relationships: The busyness of life can consume our day-to-day, which might mean the relationships around us could use a little TLC. Schedule a family day, make time for that difficult conversation, or plan a date night to re-connect and move forward in harmony.
  • Detox from social media: Taking a step back from social platforms does wonders for our mental health! Whether it’s a couple days or a couple weeks. Swap scrolling for time in nature, uninterrupted time with the kids, or a newfound meditation or journaling practice.
  • Take a look at your finances: It can be easy to spend without looking at our habits, so open up your banking app and take a deep dive. Is there an area where you can save a few bucks?  Do you want to set a new saving goal? This simple action might make that summer girls trip doable!

  • Lively up your diet: Does the food you’ve been eating contribute negatively or positively to your energy levels, sleep, and overall health? Depending on your answer, make minor adjustments to support how you want to feel! An easy solution is to simply focus on adding more color at each meal. Grab a six pack of your favorite juices to drink throughout the week and add some color to your diet. Our juices are a great meal replacement, or an additive to any meal!
  • Clear mental clutter: We are constantly bombarded with mental noise. From TV and media to gossip, negative self talk, and decision making. It can build up over time and cause fatigue and exhaustion. Think about how you can decrease that static for yourself. It might look like committing to a journal routine, seeking therapeutic support, or incorporating yoga/meditation into your daily routine.
  • Clean up your inbox: If you’re anything like me, that inbox is full of unread emails and newsletters. Go through and unsubscribe from anything you’re no longer interested in. Just seeing that unread email number decrease will jumpstart your day!
  • Get rid of clothes that don’t fit anymore: Cleaning out your closet and making a clothing donation not only benefits you, but it benefits someone else, too! It also gives you an opportunity to go shopping and find pieces that will round out your wardrobe, giving you a fresh, spring look!
  • Take a look at your schedule: Taking time to intentionally schedule the week or time-block tasks increases productivity and ensures we’re making time for things that matter to us. Grab a cup of coffee and sit in your favorite spot. Make a list of things you want to accomplish, open up your calendar, and start plugging things in! You will feel much better just having a plan!

Whether you choose to tackle a few or all of the suggestions above remember to have fun! Each action is meant to lighten your load and make things a little bit easier for you moving forward. Happy Spring!
